Creamy, tangy, and born for the grill. Great White is our take on Alabama white barbecue sauce, blending mayonnaise, cider vinegar, apple cider, horseradish, and a touch of brown sugar. The result is smooth and zesty with a subtle kick from chili peppers and horseradish.
Originally created for chicken, it has become a favorite at seafood spots along the Maine coast. It pairs perfectly with fried shrimp, crab cakes, or a haddock sandwich, and it is just as at home slathered on ribs or pulled pork.

You may think I'm crazy, but this Great White sauce is amazing in pasta salad!! OMG! I also use it as salad dressing when I make spinach salads with strawberries. It's perfect as a baste for shrimp just off the grill! LOVE this stuff!!!! :)
First experience with captain mowatt's products was at Becky's restaurant in Portland maine(also a must do) while in Maine they had bottles of canceaux sauce on counter and table tops to use as topping for meals sooo good and I was hooked.as a trucker have tried many hot sauces around the country this is tops so, getting back to great white it's equally as good but for different reasons. It's got a different snappy taste that make average food great and good food better, these folks make wonderful products, not surprising maine people do things right no short cuts give them a try Stan D

I moved to Colorado from Maine and was really missing the Great White sauce. I mix it with ranch for a blackened salmon salad. So happy I decided to buy some online. It was so good!
Visited Portland about 18 months ago and ate breakfast at Becky's Diner where I had my first taste of Captain Mowatt's Canceaux Sauce. Purchased a bottle to take back to Dayton Ohio and it sat in my pantry until a few weeks ago. When I found it I opened it and it was gone in 4-5 days. Quickly got online and placed an order which arrived in just a few days. Everything I have tried Canceaux Sauce, Turbeaux Sauce, Great White and Ghost Salt has been fantastic. Best hot sauce I have ever had. I make my own sausage and looking forward to using the Ghost Salt in that. Sharing the sauce with my family and friends to hook more people.

We're now on our third bottle of Great White Sauce! It is lovely and pairs nicely with seafood, fish and even chicken and pork! It's a keeper in our household! We're even bringing it to our next "Jaws" party and we know it will be the hit of the party!

I made a vegetable "melange," featuring cabbage, yellow squash, onions and mushrooms - putting in the Great White for the last minute of sauteing. It was amazingly delicious. What a treat. Can't wait to try it on other dishes. Also can't wait for the return of The Undressing - I miss it soooo much.

I like the mix here. The mayo offsets the other seasoning nicely. I would have guessed that it was more spicy than 2/10, though -- maybe that's already taking the moderating effect from the mayo into account?
I only purchased the Great White sauce so I could get free shipping. BUT....when I finally opened it and used it I found I really loved it and have now gone back and ordered several more bottles---some for myself and some to give away as gifts. I usually never purchase bottled sauces....but, I Love Great White and Greenie and come back again and again. Thanks and good luck.
This was my first purchase and my husband and I are enjoying the Red, White, Blue 3 pack. So far we've used the Great White on our blackened salmon burgers ( delish) and the Blue Flame on his taco salad ( just a bit too hot for me).

This started as an experiment and have really grown fond of thid great on eggs ,chicken ,even use it on pot pies beef chicken and even turkey got a little bite to it but that's why we buy your great products keep burning portland i miss Maine but your sauces keep me feeling I'm home
