SHIPPING & DELIVERY

What are your shipping options and delivery times?
We ship via USPS and UPS. Standard delivery typically takes 2–6 business days, depending on your location. Expedited shipping is available at checkout. Orders are usually packed and shipped within 1–2 business days.

Do you offer international shipping?
We do not offer international shipping at this time—except to APO/FPO military addresses. Thank you for your service.

Can I track my order?
Yes. You’ll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships so you can follow its journey.

Why is shipping so expensive?
We understand that shipping costs can feel high. Carriers like USPS and UPS have raised their prices significantly in recent years, and unfortunately, small businesses like ours don’t get the steep shipping discounts that the big guys do.

We also ship glass bottles, which require extra protective packaging to make sure your order arrives safely. That adds a bit to the overall cost.

We’re always working to keep rates as low as possible and offer free shipping on orders over $75.

One tip: ordering just one bottle can feel pricey but the shipping cost is nearly the same whether you order one, two, or even three bottles. So if you're on the fence about adding another sauce, it’s often worth it—the shipping won’t increase much, and you’ll get more value out of your order.


RETURNS & REFUNDS

What’s your return policy?
If something isn’t right, we’ll make it right. Please reach out to us at contact@captainmowatts.com and we’ll work with you to make sure you’re satisfied.

What if my order is damaged or incorrect?
If your order arrives damaged or something is missing, send us an email with your order number and a photo if possible. We’ll take care of it right away.

What ingredients do your sauces contain?
Each product page includes a full list of ingredients. We use fresh, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible and no artificial preservatives.

Are your sauces vegan, gluten-free, or allergy-friendly?
Many of our sauces are vegan and gluten-free. Check each product page for details or contact us directly if you have allergy concerns.

How spicy is each sauce?
We make sauces for all heat levels, from mild to wild. Each product description includes a heat rating to help guide your selection.


STORAGE & SHELF LIFE

How should I store my hot sauce?
Unopened bottles should be stored in a cool, dry place. Once opened, we recommend refrigerating for the best flavor and freshness.

What’s the shelf life?
Unopened sauces are best used within 24 months. After opening, we recommend using within 12 months.


ORDERS & GIFTING

Do you offer gift wrapping or personalized messages?
We don’t currently offer gift wrapping, but if you're sending a gift, you can leave a note in the gift message section of your shopping cart and we’ll be sure to include it.

Can I buy a gift card?
Yes! Digital gift cards are available on our website and never expire.
